Product Owner - Non Technical

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across multiple initiatives.

• Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to analyse needs and align the product roadmap with organisational objectives.

• Gather, prioritise, and refine requirements into a clear product backlog based on business value or ROI.

• Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure clarity across delivery teams.

• Oversee the full product development lifecycle and ensure smooth delivery with IT partners.

• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and manage release priorities.

• Monitor product performance and leverage insights to guide ongoing improvements.

• Identify and mitigate roadblocks impacting delivery.

• Contribute to organisational change activities related to product implementation.

• Act as a product ambassador, sharing knowledge and providing guidance as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar position.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Ability to assess and communicate business value for features and enhancements.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Skilled in balancing and managing competing stakeholder priorities.

• Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach.

• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Experience working within complex or large-scale environments.

Additional Requirements

• NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance (mandatory).

• Prior experience within Federal Government environments (highly desirable).
